The Mysteries of the Aztecs

This program was the sixth part of the Series Premiere unveiled in the winter/spring 2007. This program proved to be very popular and featured many objects from central rural Mexico where the Aztecs among other civilizations (like Toltecs and Mixtecs) lived. The kids learned about jaguar warriors, blood sacrifice, art, and the ever-confusing dual calendar. For Bonus Activities they painted pottery, studied the Aztec calendar, and tasted Mexican-style hot chocolate (Abuelita) -- the closest we can come to xocolatl.
